The SR-71 Blackbird Jet 3D Illusion lamp is a combination of art and technology and creates an optical 3D illusion that plays tricks on the mind. From far away, you will see the design, but as you get up close, you see a thin acrylic glass sheet that's completely flat! Its bound to impress and dazzle your guests while always lighting up a room and your lives. This playful product combines man made fibers with natural materials and produced using both machines and artisan handwork. Perfect for displaying in your bedroom, living room, office, kids room, as a night lamp or any way you want to use it!
Brought it for a friend who was in the Air Force and he really likes it.
My nephew was in absolute awe in receiving this wonderfully creative gift!
Really nice view of the SR71. Will be sharing on other sites.
This is really a nice addition to my collection of SR-71 memorabilia. Well designed and crafted. I really like it.
I was very fortunate to be standing at the end of the runway with a handful of people as the SR-71 took off overhead and set the speed record from Los Angeles to Washington, D.C. On March 6, 1990, the Blackbird took off from Palmdale, CA Plant 42, did a fly-by at Burbank Airport with designer Kelly Johnson present, flew out over the Pacific ocean to refuel and proceeded to record a flight of 1 hour, 4 minutes, and 20 seconds, averaging a speed of 3,418 kilometers per hour (2,124 miles per hour). It was a truly monumental moment for me and those of us who supported the aircraft over the years. This SR-71 Blackbird Jet - 3D Optical Illusion Lamp just makes that event even more memorable!
It's great, exactly as I expected. Thanks, I've already ordered more for gifts.
It's very nice and serves as a lite for the TV
Looks Great! I was a little concerned when I saw how small the box was... It looked bigger in some of the photos and I probably missed a description somewhere stating the dimensions. Not disappointed though, looks so cool! My brother will get it for his birthday in about two weeks.
* Just a thought... A larger version for more money would be Awesome! Not sure if that's possible but I would buy it!
Thank you. : )
First Crew Chief assigned to SR-71 Program at Beale AFB in Dec 1965. Stayed in program for 26 years. Retired from USAF in 1987 as the SR-71 Superintendent for all assigned SR-71's, U-2's and joined Lockheed Skunk Works as a Maintainability Engineer for SR-71's, U-2's and F-117's.
looks great in the corner of my 45 inch flat screen.
...bought as gifts for two former USAF SR-71 jet engine mechanics. There were astounded, and became a 'little misty' is spite of their gruff exterior. Money well-spent when it invokes great memories. Thanks for producing this, they went over with a lang bang!
